Getting Started
If you are a health care provider within a Regional Health Authority (RHA) and new to Telehealth, please note the following steps, information and resources to get started and host a virtual appointment through the Newfoundland and Labrador Centre for Health Information’s (NLCHI) Telehealth Program and CISCO Jabber.
Please follow the steps below to get started:
1. Sign Up
For information on virtual care options please email info.telehealth@nlchi.nl.ca.
2. NLCHI Will Contact You
After the form is submitted, NLCHI will contact you within 24–48 hours to help set up the CISCO Jabber software and ensure that you are ready to offer virtual appointments.
Please note that a response from NLCHI is required before proceeding to Step 3 – Jabber Installation.
3. Download and Install CISCO Jabber
If you are using a tablet or smart phone, please download the Cisco Jabber application from the Apple or Google Play Store.
Note: You may need to ask your Service Desk to assist with the install.
4. You Are Ready to Offer Telehealth Appointments
